Aspect Ratio Maker
Crop an image to 4:5, 1:1, 9:16 or another ratio. Drag to move, pinch or scroll to zoom, then download. Nothing is uploaded.
Everything runs in your browser. Your images are never uploaded, and nothing is stored.
How to use it
Drop one or more images onto the box, or tap it to pick them. Pick a ratio. The frame changes shape and the image fills it, cropping whatever falls outside. Drag the image to choose what stays in frame. Pinch on a phone or scroll on a desktop to zoom in, or use the slider. The image cannot be dragged past its own edges, so there is no way to end up with a gap. Download gives you a PNG at the largest size the original allows, so nothing is thrown away. Run it through the image compressor afterwards if you need a smaller file. With several images loaded, Previous and Next move between them and each keeps its own position and zoom.
Questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser on a canvas. The files never leave your device, which is why there is no sign-up and no limit.
Which ratio should I use for Instagram?
4:5 for a feed post, since it is the tallest shape allowed and fills the most screen. 9:16 for stories and reels. 1:1 only if you specifically want the square look.
Does it make the file smaller?
No, and that is deliberate. The output is a PNG at full size so the crop loses nothing. Use the image compressor after this if you need a smaller file.
Why can I not zoom out past the frame?
Zooming out further would leave empty edges. The tool holds the image at the size that fills the frame so every result is a clean crop.
Can I crop several images at once?
Yes. Load them together, set each one with Previous and Next, then use Download all. Each keeps its own position and zoom.
