What is collected

If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, your name and your profile picture. Nothing else comes across, and we cannot see your Google password or any other Google data.

We also store what you save, like and comment on, because that is what those features do.

Why it is collected

The email address identifies your account so you stay signed in and your saved items come back to you. The name and picture appear next to your comments. That is the whole purpose.

What is not done

Your data is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers. There are no third-party advertising trackers on this site.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. It is removed when you sign out, and it expires on its own after thirty days.

Where it is stored

On our own server, in a database that is not reachable from the public internet. Connections to the site are encrypted.

Deleting your account

Email hello@behindgen.com from the address you signed up with. The account and everything attached to it is removed, usually within a few days.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
